Been there did not see this particular watch... But they have a lot of 2998 and Ed whites ... That are not on display/ for sale
The owner is a nice guy and showed me his Patek collection.

 

Been there as well. Nice little shop on Newbury Street in Boston. Prices there are usually a bit high though

Decent piece. Has the lume been whiped off the dial? Has a service crown. If it was in better condition than my -62 I would consider it as 2998s don't come for sale often.

 

It looks like the lume has come off the hour markers above the step. Have the hour and minute hands been re-lumed too?

 

Too bad my birth year Speedy is about $10K more than I want to spend.

 

Too bad about the missing lume on the chrono hand, lume on hour hand (not quite right but can't be sure), and ding on bezel/case at the 75 mark. But hey, they say "the luminous material on both the dial and hands appear to be consistent and original".

I think it is bang on the money in this market. Not perfect, but from wear use and age. Ok and a bit of polishing.
