Replacement dial, hands, and bezel. At least the bracelet is mostly original (one #6 endlink). It can be yours for 17000 USD. Bargain!

Struggling to work out why anyone would buy it. Unless you had all the missing parts sitting in a drawer...

I think if you don't take the hands, dial and bezel, he'll knock off $100.

You could buy that...or you could spend $3K on a FOIS re-issue that looks virtually identical. Hmmmmmmm

Maybe he'll throw in a pahawi caseback opener.

This is a real dilemma for me at the moment.
I have all the missing parts but for some reason I cannot decide myself to make an offer

If that's the case, I would strongly consider throwing in a low five figure bid for it. He marks his stuff up like crazy every time but in reality has a lot of room. I'm kinda beyond buying anything from him after the Pawahi fiasco, but if I was sitting on a correct bezel, 2998 dial, and handset, I'd be all over it.

Hmmmm, a low 5 figure number is a big number for a movement and case.

Yeah, but it's half of the market for a full 2998-3. That market isn't changing, so if that's what it takes to have a killer early 2998, I'd gladly do it. Cases and correct movements aren't walking through the door en masse.

Someone 'round these parts once said that if you want a 2998, you probably need to buy one with issues, you just have to know what the issues are (and appreciate how severe they are).

I'm with ChicagoFrog on this one, especially if you have the parts.

Think of it this way.. Put a value on dial, hands, bezel, then deduct that from the asking price and see where you land.

I'm sure he'll throw in a box of paperclips to sweeten the deal...

It's worth an offer, but the case isn't amazing - set a fair price and don't chase it imo

Geez, the Canadian's are really throwing darts (or arrows) today.

His bridges are burnt here I'm afraid. Ive stopped looking at his listings altogether on watchrecon.

He clearly 'pissed in his own back garden!'

Which reminds me... @Pahawi send me a mail with your details I would like a case back opener and have a little Q for you!

Well, I only played in the darts league here for one year many moons ago. I'm no John Part (Darth Maple), so my average was middle of the pack for the league, but I did take out a game with a 120 once....T20, 20, Tops...far more satisfying than throwing the occasional 180...

For that sport with arrows, I was much better, but I didn't throw them...

Sorry what was this thread about again?
