It looks like the serial is more in the 2915-2 region rather than a -3 but it's true it's a nice rare bird
Easy enough to start a thread... but we should post pictures so people can benefit from this thread in one year from now... This is a high ticket item so I'll post almost all the pics from the listing. Currently at 44k with 7 days to go.
Presumably it’s an early version 2915-3 as it has the (relumed) Broad Arrow hands. Doesn’t have the special 2915-3 movement ring. Perhaps THE ring is more normally seen on the later Long Hour Hand versions.
If I win, Im going to send it too Omega and have a new dial and hands installed. Its looking kinda dirty.
It’s going to be an interesting few months coming up the 50th anniversary - so many Moonwatches (& pre-Moons) are coming out into the open: Here’s a 105.003-65 with a tropical dial https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/254174475369 And a 105.003-64 ‘close to flown numbers’ https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/273802716213 Plus of course the 2915-3 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/264280442879 Of course, we’re all waiting for the Granddaddy of them all - Buzz’s watch
Hmm what that 2nd stamping on the movement number bridge ? Two adjustments... no 321 for a speedy did bear such a statement (as far i know)
Wasn't it OXG rather than OGX? Anyhow, there is now enough about this watch to make me question whether it is a put together.
And I think you may be right regarding the adjustments. That and the early serial suggest some funny business.
