Now I normally wouldn’t post a live auction on here, but I’m assuming the number of players at this start price will be infinitesimal. Starting at £95000 I thought it would be interesting to discuss it.

Do you know I miss-read the OP.

I thought - that might be worth having a go at...I thought it was an auction and the price was 9,500 NOT the absurd $95,000 being asked.

And yes I thought the comment :

"I’m assuming the number of players at this start price will be infinitesimal."

was still valid at $9,500

A good -3 is worth serious money. If it is correct, not shagged out with a modern dial, bezel, probably hands too.

The extract on this one is old, I would be fascinated to see what it would get today.

I mean I would need kicking to buy this at 9500 but ten times that?

Takes COVID pricing into a new world order

Can someone share the ebay link? It's not showing up for me on a worldwide search? Clearly, I'm not a buyer, but I am interested in seeing if there are any pictures that are in focus, and/or don't seem to be a deliberate attempt to limit detailed identification.

To my eyes - it looks like a late 90's replica in a straight lug case.

i am curious about that comment.
Apart from the fact that all the extract tells the buyer is that it went to Mexico in an unknown case/ref and was made by Lemania.
Would there be more information today?

As I understand it, years ago, there was more flexibility and guidance allowed when you requested an extract. Modern extracts are more consistent with the actual museum records

It does look to be a 321 movement though. You can just make it out in one of the pics. What shape is it in?

Who knows.
