    It's already beyond it........
It's not the price of the hands, it's the finding of the hands

Based on my visits to Bangkok I would be really leery of buying this from eBay. Just my personal experience and the watch could be totally legit but there were fakes and scammers everywhere I turned in that city.

man that is pricey. But it still has an appeal. As stated above the hands would be very hard to find

The 2913-5 should have the slightly later style 'arrow minute' hands which are easier to get hold of, not these broad arrow hour hands.

In addition to the above posts.
I’m not an expert in CK2913 (though I do own a couple), so I could be wrong. But every variant of CK2913 I’ve seen has ‘PATENT PENDING’ stamped on the inside of the caseback.
    This one does not.
I did send an eBay message mentioning this to the vendor and received a curt reply.
I’m also not too sure about the movement serial number being in the correct date period.

Wow....you guys are good. I was able to buy a good 1967 Speedy 321 with help from this site. Anyway, I am looking for a good Seamaster to go with it. I like the look of the one that I posted from EBay, but will probably continue my search.

All the -5's I've seen, doesn't have the "Patent Pending" on the inside, so no problem with the caseback IMO. The -1's doesn't have it either. On -2 to -4 the writing is above the HF mark and on -6 to -8 it is below the HF mark. Why? I don't know, that's just the way it is. Anyway, below is an overview of the inside markings on the 2913 casebacks (and outside for good order).

So caseback is ok, but the rest not so much. Agree that the serial number isn't in range, far from and that's the prime issue here. Never seen a confirmed 18x serial on any 2913, and never seen a confirmed 180x serial on any SM300. The last serial range on the 2913's was 167x and the first on the 14755's was 182x, the big jump of course because of the shift from cal 50x to cal 55x. Of course it could be some mystery very late production batch... but I really don't think so and would love to see an extract on this one
And yes, as mentioned on top of that, wrong/fake hands, poorly redone bezel inlay ~ wrong font etc and a very poor unattractive dial.

Almost $7k now. Good luck to the buyer getting this one right ::facepalm2::
