This evening I stumbled upon the rather lovely little 2828 via an eBay auction: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vintage-O...199293?hash=item35f8aaa3bd:g:k2sAAOSwHaBWjUREPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Now, to me, that looks like a redial... the drunken "r" ringing a few bells. In the listing, the seller mentions that this is a "rare german market model" - I can't see anything to indicate this... standard eBay tosh? Oh and while we're on the subject... let's see your 2828s! ;-)
The OP's questions and my answers and images all refer to the 2828, Not sure the relevance of the 2846 here Though do appreciate you have one you want to sell.
I recently purchased a 2828 which was Gold capped and had a two tone dial. Lovely patina and in what appears to be original shape. You can search my thread history for it if you like. And as mentioned, it is a small watch. I have a rather large wrist and it would look almost comical on me. I have yet to have it serviced and am trying to convince my wife that it is a good choice for her to wear. It is about the size of a current large women's watch I would say. Measured against a watch a friend of ours was wearing and it was just slightly smaller than her watch. I may have to part with it if I can not get her to wear it. Trust me, she would be happy to see the money come back. But it is just so damm beautiful, I wish I could wear it. Not the best picture, working on it still.
Ahh good to know! Not a drunken R then? And yep on the size, I a big guy and wear quite a few small military watches, this is a little smaller, but I'm wondering if the chunky lugs will make it work for me. If not, well it's nice to look at pictures.
