    Hi guys,

Looking for feedback on something that has bugged me about the movement of my own 268 watches and I know we have some real 30mm authorities on here, so if anywhere was the right place to ask!

Is it always the case that the cal. 268 especially but also 269 movements left the factory with components just one plating colour? You would think obviously yes, but I've come across so many of these later 26x movements with visible parts a mix of both gold and copper coloured. But not so much for earlier movements like 265.

It may well just be a case of repairers over the years replacing parts that then no longer match, either through carelessness or making do.

But I also started to wonder if at the end of the 26x line, Omega themselves just used up parts that were available, and might have shipped movements in this form? Probably not, but you never know.

Pics below with a few examples of what I mean, note with the gold/copper mixes.
