    image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png Hi. New to the forum. I own a Rolex sub and a Meistersinger No2 and I want a dress watch.

Can anyone shed some light on this. It's a 1952 model 266 jumbo. It has just had a redial, polish and new strap.

Would it be worth $1200 Australian?

No. Way overpriced, in my view. Most collectors shun redials, and the movement is in poor condition. If you show the inside of the case, more info could be provided.

Cheers. The omega print looks a bit suspect too.

    Echo Tony

The movement looks tired and well used, collectors will always avoid re-dials where possible

    Move on

The Italian market often has some good jumbos if you can be patient and wait for them to land

Firstly, great profile pic and well done for posting before buying.
Next, I suggest you take a look through the sales forums here, as if someone is less than honest with their listing (which is very rare) they will get pulled up for it. You will also learn a bit about fair pricing and gain some insight into different references available, the WRUW thread will also show some great examples of vintage dress watches.
    Good luck with your search.

Redial and the movement looks tired! Pass for sure.

I'd check out the private sales thread for any new vintage purchase. Much easier to get all the information needed there then trial and error everywhere else.

    Happy Hunting,

+1 on looking within the sales section here. Better pricing and better watches sold by folks who are willing to share the good and the bad so you know what you're getting into.

Haha. This picture actually created itself when I typed in the name. It was too good to change!
