Yesterday I went all Fubar on a watch I thought had all the tells of a fake.

The answer in a way was right in front of me. An old 26.5 T3. Since I was going after something else in my collection I pulled this out to look at it.

Yup it is an omega. Probably from the 1930s. Not sure why the watch in the other posting looked like it was from the 1970s or 1980s. It even still ticks weakly.
Case number seems to be 363863. I know next to nothing about this era.

I had shown it here before and was told it was a redial. Now I am not so sure. If it is a redial, it is a damn good one.IMG_4460.png

At first glance the dial looks like yellowed paper. Looking at it without the crystal it looks similar to the other dials recently posted from this era. The yellowing could be from the radium.

This watch is hot. as in quite radioactive.

Glows a bit under the UV.

Always interesting to find something in the collection and look at it in a new way.

One does tend to get so focused they can not see the forest for the trees.

Really do need to find some time and make some straps for these watches. I doubt the strap is origional, but it is really old. Would make for a decent template though.

Old redial but more recent lume and probably not the original hands for the era.
