How rare is the Omega 2516-2 Chronometer Cal 252? I have seen a few in gold cases but never one with this dial/case configuration in Stainless-Steel. This seems to be one of the early versions (1948?) with Leaf hands. The dial has the French/Swiss spelling of Chronometer and doesn’t have “Officially Certified” seen on some later examples, nor the Bumper weight have “ Adjusted in 5 Positions” as in some models I’ve seen.

Looks like a redial to me, probably never was a chronometer tested watch thats why no "adjusted" on the movement either

The 352 is a chronometre bumper, look at the special regulator that is shared with the 30T2Rg chronometres.

But looks like a redial to me. The scripts are really badly executed.

The 352 winding rotor has been switched out too. It should look like this.

My 2517 doesn't have adjusted on the rotor and if I recall correctly @gatorcpa ss example didn't have it too until he found replacement

You are correct. Here is a picture of my movement pre-swap:

Serial number is very close also. Probably from same production run.

If I knew then what I know now, I probably would not have made the switch.

Ah, I didn't know that! My examples are later than yours, all around 12 mil.
