I am interested an a 2503.33.00, and saw somewhere that the Omega 2500 movement has had 3 revisions. Which revision(s) are in the 2503.33.00 watch and are there significant differences between them? How can I tell which movement revision a watch has? Does it even matter?

    Thanks.

There are 4 revisions, and some significant differences, they reduced the beat rate in later revisions and for the fourth revision (D) they revised the escapement.

Interesting. Anywhere I can see the data (BPM, escapement type, date of revision?) and how can you tell which 2500 movement a watch has? Would you care which revision your 2500 had? is the 2500 a good movement? What does (D) mean? Revision 4? A, B, C, D? Thanks for the reply dsio and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

The ref. 25033300 will have either a C or D version - to know for sure I would need the serial number of the specific watch.

In terms of beat rates they are:

    A and B - 28,8000
    C and D - 25,2000

The D has the 3 level co-axial escapement, so will not suffer from one specific problem that the other 3 versions do.

    Cheers, Al
