    Poor dial but still.....

Description: LONGINES, MINUTE-COUNTER CHRONOGRAPH, 13 ZN A fine and very rare, large, stainless steel manual wind chronograph wristwatch with military engraving. Reference: Ref. 5699/23086 Numbers: Case N. 6'964'570 Caliber: 13ZN Signed: Dial, case and movement.
    HKD 120000 - 200000
    Dimensions: 40 mm.
    Artist or Maker: Longines
    Date: 1948
Notes: The "Doppio Lancetta" is one of the most iconic models made by Longines alongside their navigator watch, the Weems. Characterised by an oversize waterproof case and a large red chronograph hand that counts the minute, most of these models were delivered to the US through the Longines Wittnauer distributers. This example has the matching numbers on the caseback and the lugs, as it should be. It is further engraved 372E, which, according to our research indicates that after the watch was delivered it was issued to the 372nd Engineer group which was originally founded in 1928. A rare opportunity to acquire a military issued 5699 in completely original condition.

Well: one may call it interesting that the hands look brand new and the dial as if it lived in a toilet for a year.

That’s an extremely rare version with the 12 at the top of the dial
