This is a great post If you are familiar with Google, the seach engine, you can type: “20mm mesh bracelet” and options appear
how do you spell "google"? I make sure and look closely at the pictures of the clasp, and buy the bracelet that has the best looking quality clasp. The best I have seen is stamped but it has a little locking hoodad on it.
If Richard wanted the straight Google, he probably wouldn't ask for recommendations here. Just a thought. I have a strapcode/miltat superfine mesh on my Portugieser, and a Forstner Komfit on my coaxial Speedmaster, and can recommend either if you are looking for a comfortable lightweight metal band.
But perhaps Dr. Richard should elaborate further then. If it was a real conversation he probably wouldn’t just approach people and say “direct me to a mesh” and then wait for responses. He should be a little more specific about what he want/doesn’t want. And if we aren’t allowed to have a little fun....
The milanese straps that have been suggested seem to be available from different sources at different prices. They are pretty decent for the price and very comfortable. If I were to recommend one of these I would say the Miltat (Strapcode/Taikonaut) tapered version of these. The 20mm tapers down to 16mm at the clasp and the 22mm to 18mm. They are 2.5mm thick, and look specially good on thin watches of watches with thin lugs. Currently I'm wearing the 22/18mm on a Christopher Ward Darthmouth. Very nice, vantagey look. (I'll snap a picture when I get home).
