Hi Gang

Anyone else enjoy the NCAA tournament? Got your brackets in?

I root for Maryland (Fear the Turtle!)
I have Houston winning it all on the men’s side.
You?

That's actually what I have in my bracket so, yeah, looking for that matchup and actually that result too. A Sweet 16 end will still be a good run for the Twerps.

As a Terp alum I sure hope they go deep, they're losing 3 out of their 5 starting players next year.

GO TERPS!!!

I filled out a few brackets and enjoy the tourney. As an Auburn alum, I hope that their late season stumbles drive them to the championship! ( and the Mcneese St game busted a metric ton of brackets …including mine. ) War Eagle! @gatorcpa, I’ve got your team winning it all on one of mine. They are strong!

I got all 1's in final four. Pretty dumb but it felt right. Florida taking it.

This year, the 1s seem to be pretty head and shoulders above. Of course my team, a 9 seed, plays a 1 on Sunday, and i think we can beat them.

Realistically I think Duke or Florida wins.

What in the wide world of sports are you talking about? I recognized "basketball" in @redpcar post, but the rest is total gibberish to me.
Are the brackets for hanging a basketball hoop?

It's collegiate level American basketball. Every year, 64 teams go to a tournament, 1 survives. There are 4 brackets that funnel down to the final 4, and for whatever reason, predicting each match up, or discussing the tournament seeding, is now called bracketology.

Here it is for this year.

My picks are a mess, I picked too many early upsets but my 16 is intact at least.

I will root for the Terps of course even though I have FL picked as the winner in that game. Not that it will help or hurt at this point, I’m out of the running in both pools I am in this year.

Nice to see a few 🐢 in the group!

I graduated College Park campus while working at NASA Goddard. It took me more than a decade to get a (usable) degree. The Terp was the perfect mascot, a slow angry turtle.

My wife also picked up a second degree from College Park after graduating from Georgetown and walking the line pregnant. (Both of us were older after having been in the military at Ft. Meade.) Needless to say, fond memories.

Go Terps! (I also picked Gators in my bracket. Win/win.)

My wife and I graduated class of '94, my youngest is class of '27. Not sure if either of you has been back on campus lately but the school has gone through and amazing redevelopment. Admission has become increasingly difficult since being tagged as a 'public ivy' by Forbes last year.

My fondest memories of the 90's was having classes with Joe Smith who went no. 1 overall in that years NBA draft. Gary came in paid a hefty price in going on probation his first 2 years which were the darkest moments in the schools athletic history, all stemming from Bias tragedy. Of course all was well worth in winning the National Championship in 2002 without a single McDonald's all American.

I still see Gary in every single home game, he's a legend, and incredibly generous with his time shaking many fans hands during breaks.

Go TERPS!!

Great pics!
I’m heading up to the Chase on Thursday to check it out. (Hoping for a Red Raider win too!)

Going to date myself here, but one of my best memories was going to Cole for my 13th birthday. 1984, Maryland vs UNC. (Bias vs Jordan, Bias was on fire that night)

I attended College Park 90-91 before transferring out of state. Haven’t been back to campus since the fun of ‘02.

Sorry Maryland. Not this year. But here’s a consolation prize.
