living in Sydney and having a decent size boat it was always breathtaking fishing in Sydney harbour with the Opera house and Harbour Bridge as a back drop.
With the added bonus of being able to pick a better view point than land locked fireworks display watchers 😉
Darwin New Year fireworks was cancelled due to a viscous monsoon trough that has been hanging around the last few days.
