Aston Martin confirming it will be Drugovich not Vettel subbing in for Lance Stroll if his wrists are still broken or whatever. It’s a bit odd how secretive they’re being with his injury, some reports that it’s two broken wrists some one, but in photos at the airport he seemed fine with neither in a cast or anything.

Stroll is ALWAYS unfit to drive.....

Yea still very hard to tell what’s what yet but if it continues along these lines it’ll make for a great year. I was sort of expecting Alpine to make a much better showing but they don’t really seam to be anywhere yet though.

It’ll be interesting to see if Stroll continues, the way he was releasing the wheel and balling up a fist in pain on the straights was rather unpleasant to watch and he’s sort of pushing the wheel with his left palm on hard right corners due to a lack of range of motion. He mentioned on radio the pain he was in too even though he’s probably taken meds for it.

Sadly, an injured Stroll is still probably faster than Latifi and Mazespin. That said, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Stroll on the track. Lance's general lack of spacial awareness and an injured wrist are not a good combination.

Yea he’s nowhere near as hopeless as those two but the risk of him having an accident caused by it, and the risk of setting his own injury back further seems too great really. If he does have a shut and the wheel snaps back while his weak wrists are on it he’s going to be in an even worse place.

During FP2 he was clearly having problems in the corners. This is exactly what backup drivers are for.
