    Hi all,

Just wondering if the rubber strap on the 2017 38mm Aqua Terra reference 220.22.38.20.02.001 or reference 220.12.38.20.02.001 can fit on the older 38.5mm Aqua Terra reference 231.10.39.21.55.001. I know both watches are 19mm between lugs but I'm not sure if the incorporated steel insert of the rubber strap can fit between the lugs of the older Aqua Terra.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

If both are 19mm, shouldn't make a difference. Here's a pic of my strap. Metal piece is fully integrated into the rubber

Can someone tell me if Omega sells these Aqua Terra bands separately?
I have the bluish/gray above, but would like a black one.
    Regards,
    Chris

So the metal piece is part of the strap and not a separate piece?

Check with the AD. I bought mine with the rubber strap but also ordered metal bracelet from the AD at time of purchase. I'm sure they do the same with rubber strap

Call your nearest boutique they should be able to tell you if the lug holes line up correctly.

Thanks - there was a post in another thread where a member had ordered the AT rubber strap but said the metal piece was back-ordered from Switzerland until June. ::confused2::

edit: There are other posts after that clarifying that the metal part is integrated, but then another post saying it's a separate piece. I'm still confused.

The metal piece is integrated into the strap but is sold separately from the rubber strap itself. You will need to purchase the rubber strap and two of the metal pieces to complete it. Keep in mind the metal pieces cost $95 each...

Anyone had actual first hand experience fitting the new AT rubber straps on the previous generation(s) of AT's?? I know someone that has done this but I he said that a little modification or change in springbars made it fit. I've yet to ask him exactly what needed to be done.

Just following up on this. I have the previous-gen 41.5mm AT Golf edition and really liked the look of the blue rubber strap on the current-gen AT. I took a chance and bought the rubber strap, deployant clasp, and end links from an OB and received them last week. I tried to change the strap myself, but couldn't get the strap mounted using the spring bars I had - the strap itself fit perfectly on the watch, but I couldn't get the top part of the spring bar to click in the hole with the bottom part seated. I ended up bringing it to a local jeweler who has an experienced watchmaker and he was able to get the strap mounted pretty easily. The watchmaker wasn't there when I picked up the watch - he may have used different spring bars to get it seated properly. I think it looks great - it was expensive but I'm really happy with the result. It's super comfortable and feels like a different watch.

I think it looks great with the strap...agree that it changes the look entirely.

I think it does require some modification or different spring bars. It wouldn't fit using the spring bars from the steel bracelet on my previous-gen AT, but the local watchmaker sorted it out.

Regarding the metal end links, they are sold as separate pieces and each comes with a very small titanium bar that is used to affix the end link to the strap. In the picture above that shows just the strap, you can see the tiny hole in the strap (above the hole where the spring bar goes) where the thin bar slides through the strap.

These are sold separately. Bought one a few months ago. The metal part is not part of the band! You actually need to pay for it as an add-on or additional piece. It's $90 just for two pieces of metal. I don't recall the price of the stamp itself.

Also remember how they didn't want to comp me a par of spring bars. Which other OB have graciously done so when I've purchased additional strap.

The strap and deployant clasp were $230 each and the metal end links were $90 each.
