School is out, the sun is shining, garden planted, juleps consumed, and summer is ON at the Darlinboy household! So how about a photo contest to kick off the season? The rules.. 1. Photos must be taken by OF members or immediate family only (honor system applies - most of you can be trusted - if you're not sure I'm talking about you, you're probably right) 2. Extra credit for photos that have a summer time theme 3. Photos must include at least one timepiece, prominently featured. Don't make us search for the watch - this isn't "Where's Waldo's Watch?" 4. Limit of two (2) entries per member, so make sure they're your two very best! You're welcome to edit your initial entries with a better photo, only the last two will be judged. 5. Photos must be family-friendly, as judging will be done by the Darlinboy family - Mrs. Darlinboy, me, and our two teenage sons - who have once again graciously agreed to cooperate with a minimum of eye-rolling as judging will be done on Father's Day weekend. 6. All entries must be POSTED TO THIS THREAD by Friday, June 17th at 11:59pm Eastern Standard time. Technique and photography skills won't hurt, but in the end, winners will be selected purely & solely on our personal preferences and the decision of the judges is final. Prizes to be awarded are pictured below - a heavy brass Omega dealer brochure holder, Omega counter top display pads, service case, and a couple of nice logo watchmaker knives. I may chuck in something else, we'll see how it goes. Good luck everyone! No Summer here, third day of Winter. But I can always dream of the day I took this, and look forward to getting back there in November. Little Oberon Bay, Wilsons Promontory, Victoria, Australia. Thanks to one of our forum members more adept at photo editing, I present an enhanced version for comparison and education. Changes were edits to straighten your horizon line, adjust brightness on watch face and tamp down the reflection. Thanks @trackpad

Summer means cricket. For our American cousins it's a bit like baseball but not. For our Australian cousins, you'll learn to play it one day.
