Finally made it over to my Omega AD to try on the new PO 43.5... 215.30.44.21.03.001
A little thicker then I expected the 8900 to be, but definitely better proportioned then the older 8500 version. Also, the new glidelock clasp is amazing! Kinda wish the blue was still in titanium, but then again this makes it a lot more affordable.

You've seen both Matt, is the 39 top heavy like the older version 42mm was?

I was also very surprised at how well proportioned these are. I tried on the new titanium (with the orange bezel insert), so the experience was a little different in terms of the weight (I have a 42mm 8500 though, so I can imagine), but the size was surprisingly wearable.

And that is a very nice shade of blue...

I also like the blue a lot. Just not sure how "daily wear" this blue is though. Seems to really tow the sporty line... Not sure it's something to wear in a suit. I'd love to compare the thickness in specs, but am yet to find it written anywhere. Definitely a great new addition and advancement in the PO lineup.

I wear the old 45.5 Ti pretty much every day with a suit. I tend to wear a lot of blues, though. With my grey suits I do light blue shirt/navy tie, with my blue suits I do pretty much whatever.

I also have a 41.5 AT with blue dial that I wear pretty often. What can I say, I love blue.

Lovely looking watch, but seeing that metal-on-metal love in (scratch fest?) between the watch and the bracelet (armband? bangle?) sets me off in a shudder. I couldn't do it so fair play to you.

It's all relative. Both the 43.5 and 39.5 are tall watches, no getting around it. But all and all, that is what you get with a thick diver watch. I say accept it, or go with something slimmer like a Speedmaster or Aqua Terra

If your looking for a daily, I would consider the Aqua Terra line... Master or Non-Master, both great. Or go with the 300 "Vintage" Master Co-Axial. Both are less sporty and more true "all-around"-ers.

Yeah I think the AT line is better for versatility as well. But something about the PO line I've always found memorizing (personally speaking).

I personally love the new PO's. At first I had my reservations... but now I really like the 43.5.

I think a chunky big watch has it place. I love my IWC Big Pilot, its big, tall & 46mm. Love it for certain situations. At other times I'll wear more "tame" watches like my Speedy, Lange 1815 or Explorer II... they all have their place :)

I wish Omega reduce the thickness of this line to make them more attractive and comfortable to wear as daily watch.

    I'm afraid 600M comes at a cost.

There are many other Omegas that fulfill that role. Aqua Terra, Seamaster 300, Diver 300M, and those are just the Seamasters.

The 39.5 PO is actually 14mm or so thick, making it thinner than most of Omega's dive watches. With a display back and 600M WR.

I added some new photos after getting to see the black PO. Also comparison photos of the older version 45mm vs the new 43.5. Shockingly huge difference...
Gotta say the black is really really stunning. I planned to eventually pick up the blue version, but the black took my breath away. Dial and bezel now match with a beautiful gloss. Omega really nailed this watch!

Now if they'd just make it a 39mm or max 40 for people like me wth tiny wrists that don't want a unisex or woman's watch. I love my Omega™ Globemaster, but is that what I am destine to be relegated for the rest of my life? I really-really want a solid titanium Aqua-Terra but the 38.5mm is not a GMT and I'd prefer a newer MASTER-CRONOMETER Caliber 15k G. But Omega seems to think all their costumer are big hefty guys or dress-up office dudes. Please give my Ti in a 39mm with a nice Ti bracelet

Yeah I posts the pic of the white PO... That is 39.5 next to the SMPc at 41. I thought it would make for a good size comparison. To be honest the 39.5 is very well proportioned and would probably look killer on a male in black or blue.
Take a read at this, stumbled on it yesterday: https://monochrome-watches.com/smal...the-39-5mm-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-600m/
