Saw this watch online and like it very much for its clean design. It is far too big/bulky for myself, but I consider buying it for my husband. It is from a collector seller with decent reputation, but I don’t know him personally. Any red flags for this watch?? And how much should I expect to pay for it (it’s an ongoing auction). MANY thanks, your advise is much appreciated.

That's an 8500 movement aqua terra and I see no red flags. Go to www.watchrecon.com and type in "8500 aqua terra" and sort by time to "all" to get an idea of what they go for. Depends on if it comes with box/papers, how it's running, service history, if it's polished. Rough idea for value looks like you can pick them up watch only with no service history for the low-mid 2's. Perfect sets go into the 3's but keep in mind these are asking prices.
Me personally I would recommend do not bid over $3,300 out the door, there is a newer generation of aqua terra to consider as well with the 8800 and 8900 movements which you can find in the 3k-5k range.
