What's special about this piece is that it was one of the early runs of Sapphire Sandwich where Omega kept the shape of the sapphire crystal relatively close to the hesalite ones and therefore has less of a milky ring effect. Under some light conditions it looks almost indistinguishable from the hesalite version, where as the current production 311...006 model has a more boxed shape edge, making the milky ring strongly visible.
