and to keep the thread drift tradition alive may I take the occasion to publicly thank @Tubber for giving me my 10.000th like a few days ago?
The « like » in question was appropriately attributed to a wrist shot of one of my most meaningful and preferred watches, an RAF pilot 1942 issued watch. I’ll admit having collected a number of my likes on the WRUW thread.

Well done Chris!!! Your Time 4A Pint initiative has been a brilliant! You have also been instrumental in bringing together a watch loving community, organizing the local GTGs in the UK.
That you achieved so much during a period of personal challenges only adds to the huge admiration we feel for you, mate.
It has been a true privilege to admire your wit and no nonsense approach here on the OF putting down so much of the hubris and fanboy BS that contaminates so many watch forums.😀
