The Patek doesn't look very Patekish, does it? Especially sitting next to that Omega.

The Patek is beautiful! I would call dibs if you ever plan on getting rid of it, but I doubt I could afford it. :)

The back of the omega finish is poor compared to the Patek. Wish Omega matched the nice front polish and finish instead of the very bubbly caseback.

I still need to work my way into a Patek at some point, 5396G is my dream dress watch.

Absolutely love the dials on both watches, but the Patek dial really jumps out at you. Rose gold is nice!

I am actually amazed that such high-end watches are produced with printed dials. It's not so much that they are less expensive to produce, but rather that they are so much less interesting than those which feature applied markers (and/or logos).

I haven't owned this one for a while, but to my eye, the dial is far more attractive and interesting than any printed dial.

To me, it looks like that Patek printed dial was copied from Omega

I don't mind the much cheaper 5035/5036 and others but I love how that window based design on the 5396 is the same one they've been using since the 1950s, its just such a quintessentially Patek design.

Very much agree. Applied markers/furnishings are always more interesting than paint.

Two very elegant pieces. I particulary like the Patek.
