A couple of my favourite watches are these two 1970´s brutes. Produced in an era when the favourite colour of an Omega watch designer was orange and a 42mm case diameter was seen as being a little on the small side, these are anything but subtle. Both reference 145.0023, powered by the calibre 861 and being introduced with the Hard Metal Collection of the early 70´s. The 44.5mm cases having been bombarded with tungsten to create an extremely hard and scratch proof surface and the dark version having an additional PVD finish.
And here is the orphaned brother - the Bucherer version: Out of curiosity, does your tungsten cap "float" on the actual case. Only when you secure it with a strap does it stay firm.
I'm going to use the Force on you to make you sell me them both cheap. As I wave my hand slowly palm out I say "These are not the watches you want to own" and you immediately think "I don't want these watches anymore". Then I wave my hand again and say "Move them along to ulackfocus" and you PM me with a ludicrously cheap offer because you just don't want them anymore.
Yes all versions by the the different brands have the same form of construction where the movement module kind of pops into the back of the case, very similar to the Speedmaster 125
Four years of silence here, but I'd like to share some pics of my Darth Vader (and sorry for poor quality)
