Hi guys, I will like to ask if there is anything wrong with this. I am not too sure about the dial. It does not look like any of the suvarens I have seen. Thanks in advance.
Can only see the smallest hint of the Omega symbol left on the dial, almost thought it was sterile for a moment
I think the dial is original, but is the victim of a harsh attempt at cleaning. This cost it most of the logo, the minute register and part of the subdial. It possibly also had radium filling in the numerals which is also gone. I recognize that dial in the background, though: Take care, gatorcpa
I didn't even see that, the dauphine hands certainly don't fit, stick hands were order of the day. As detective Bunk says, you need to have soft eyes to see the detail beyond the obvious, I was staring at the dial
With most of the recommended cleaning processes dial are immersed for a varying number of seconds. Unfortunately this dial look as thought it was left in for hours. Sad as of course it can't be undone.
Gavin, that Suverän looks good besides the dial and hands. And the crown, which is a replacement. Depending on the price you can wait for a better dial to come around. I have the correct hands for it, hour and minute.
"...looks good besides the dial, which is destroyed, and the hands, which are not original to this watch" Sorry for being unclear
Thanks Martin. Not sure if that example is still for sale after more than a year. But that's fine since I have 2 nice examples with your help.
