    Hello everybody,
As many of you I'd really like to own a timepiece as old as I am, a speedmaster pro to be exact.

I'm still searching for the right one. But (un)fortunately I still have a lot to learn and that includes spotting a faked watch over a genuine one.

    Being from 1996 (a youngster I know ;) ), I've mostly seen two references: 3590.50 and 3592.50.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 3592.50 is basically a 3590.50 with a clear case back (which is a plus for me) and that 3592.50 usually comes with a 1479 bracelet which I don't like at all while 3590.50 comes with a 1499 which I really like.
Basically I'd go for a 3592.50 on a 1499, if only I could find it.

If i'm not mistaken, both are the last iterations with tritium hands, whose get nice patina.

    So basically my questions are:
    1. Is the information I've understood correct?
    2. What is the price range I should expect for such a timepiece? I'm a student so money if quite a problem I still have to sold (I've estimated it on $2.5k - $2.75k once again is that correct?)

Thank you in advance for taking some time to help a fellow watchlover.

More or less, you're correct. Tritium models seem to be going up very slightly so you might be looking at 2.7-3k instead, but 2.5k is not out of the question.

You might be able to find a head-only 3590, then the 1499 bracelet; or you could always buy a 3590 with the 1479 and try to trade it for a 1499.

Starting early incentivizes you to work hard. Your watch collection will quickly out price your car collection.

    Thank you very much :)
Well actually I'd really prefer a 3592.50. I have a thing for sandwich watches..
