any opinions about this particular piece? Looks fairly decent. Appears mostly original. Hands are new after service.
Thinking about $3500 as an offer

I've had two of this reference and really enjoyed them. The 1479/812 bracelet is my favourite.

I think you'll do well if you manage to get it for the number you've offered.

    Cheers,

It's got chrono creep (the hour register seems to be drifting). I'd take serviced with a grain of salt and ask to see proof and get a warrantee - and that's if you think you can trust them. Not sure what to make of pricing on these, just wanted to give you the heads up.

Looking at other 3950.50.00 on another site (different watch) had the same chrono creep on the hour register. $1200 dollar higher price also

The most annoying are the service superluminova hands. Considering another 1500$ to spend for a Tritium set as nice as the watch...

    $1500 for hands? Sounds steep.

For that price you will get an 1980s or early 1990s 145.022 with tritium dial and hands easily...
Just sold one of mine from 1983 for 2,8 k €...
Does it need to be that reference / that particular year?

Tritium, good condition, hour minute and sweeping? Show me better, I am your buyer.

Tritium hands are to a 3590.50 what a DON bezel is to a 145.022-69 nowadays.

I am skeptical to be honest, I have seen decent condition sets for more like $500-1000 but assuming you are right, if you value originality that would the put OP watch at around $2000 only!

A quick search thew up these which didn't sell even when dropped to €750, but perhaps the condition isn't good enough? They were withdrawn so may still be available:

If you do get them I am very happy to take a 20% finders fee!

    Hence my comment.

Superluminova hands are original parts and if one doesnt’ care they do not match the dial and they are the only part to keep glowing in the dark, than one can ignore what I’m saying.

Same way, if you deduct the value of a nice DON from the asking for a 145.022-69 with a 29M serial and a DNN fitted, you might get to a similar price for the watch... what’s wrong? Maybe the the asking. Or nothing, if you don’t care. And there’s no issue about that, just sayin’

I fully agree with you, it is how I value a watch too, but was questioning the price you put on a hand set. See my additions to the post above..
