Has anyone else noticed a rise in the pricws on the seamasters ?
Even the midsize has gone up. About a year ago one could be had for around 500 to 700 now the midsize is sitting at 1200 to 2900. Why the rise?

Everything else is rising pushing the market into the “lower” pieces driving demand.

Have to say I hated midsize watches but went for one for the price and after a week I actually love the size

They have definitely gone up over the last year. My guess is the 25 year anniversary and the release of the new wave dial.

They may be rising slightly and have been doing so for the past 3-5 years but I would love to see a completed sale on a mid size at the upper end of the 1200-2300 range mentioned by the OP. I doubt a middle would make a fat lot more than $1200 to be honest, 1000-1200 seems more realistic.

Yes exactly that's why I was excited to get mine for 800. The prices you say are accurate what they are selling for

Have you taken it for a water resistance check? If it passed the test, it's safe to shower with it, wash it, swim with it, etc.

If you have a dakota watch shop near you, they only charge something like $8-$9 for a pass/fail test.

It's a looker, despite the marks near the pip. I never was a fan of the ghosty faded bezel inserts. Give me a brilliant, dark-blue any day!

It means absolutely nothing, unless seller can prove what exact work was done and with proper receipt of some sort. Sellers will say things like, "serviced recently" and so on, just to squeeze out more money out of potential buyer. Unless there is good proof of service done, which usually dosnt exist, have some $ ready to get proper service done on any older used watch.
