Hey folks! I'm doing my daily trawling and found this 5513, the insert looks wrong.... hands pretty white too...

Is it just me, or does it look ok?

looks like replacement, perhaps the lume fell apart on the old hands and were swapped out during a service?

Also get some good pics of the dial from the side and under light as this model usually has spidering on the gloss dial.

Hmmm ... enough left in it to correct the issues ... but it will then always be a corrected example and still not worth more than you'll have in it.

That’s excellent advice. I can’t do spider dials.

I would say take your time and find one with match lume on the hands and dial with unpolished case.....

    I found my 87 5513 unpolished for 5.5k 1 year ago..

    Good luck buddy!:p:p

Insert should be a flat four. Hands are cheaper than 600 but these are service.

The better 5513's to collect are those without the white gold rims on the dial markers. They are earlier and more desirable. I'm sure one will come your way, better to wait when a hefty bit of cash is involved IMO.

The insert looks glued in and as if it had been modified to fit (look at 50). Gaps are weird too. The dial is gorgeous and the patina on the lume is beautiful. So much potential!
