We have here the iconic and beautiful example of a transitional Rolex Submariner 16800 with creamy matching patina and on a very thick case. This is a 9 million serial specimen with "J" clasp code which dates the beaut to 1985 and with open "6" & "9" date wheel. There are no imperfections on the dial & hands and they really do look amazing. The gorgeous patina on the markers, hands match beautifully with the pearl. There is a scuff on the cyclop and 2 tiny nicks on the glass near 12 o'clock. The case may be unpolished given the normal signs of wear with very well-defined chamfers and bevels. The crown guards are thick, square and engulfs the crown. The bezel ring teeth remained sharp and not polished out. The numbers between the lugs are clear and with no pitting. Lastly, the oyster bracelet (93150 with 593 end links) will come with the diver extension and 12 links with minimal stretch and in very good condition. I do not know of the service history but she is running strong and accurate. I will include a nice vintage Rolex case along with the package. If you have been looking for a THICK cased transitional Submariner 16800 with warmth of killer matching patina, this is a gorgeous specimen to consider. Few scans would be nice? Such a great reference that IMO will gain value rapidly. Great example too. Pin holes, open 6, 9 not quite vintage but close enough that in no time it will be.... Good luck!!!
