    Hello Members and Omega lovers,

As a new member this is my first post.
I hope I am posting in the correct place and Thanks in advance!!

I am looking into buying this watch from the second hand market, (in person not on the web).

The photos are not best quality but I hope you could help me authenticate this piece, and decide whether to purchase it.

    Questions:
    Is it authentic ?
Do the Movement and serial number match with case and bracelet?
Is this reference number speedy rare?
    What does it worth?
Also what should I check and be careful of?

Thanks in advance for any insight into this!
    Regards
    Mit

What does your homework tell you?

    Is it a 1450 bracelet?

Yes it's authentic, no it's not particularly rare (most vintage Speedy collectors start with a 145.012 or a "pre-moon" 145.022). The watch is not in bad shape, but it could use a good cleaning. I'd be more concerned with the service history and if it's going to require one soon. All your other questions can be answered by a bit of research on your part. I would say the value is between $2800-$3200 depending on how "in-shape" the case is, little polishing, etc.

There is a lot of photoshop on those pics. Won’t look as nice in the flesh.

    It's an 80's Speedmaster. Genuine.

What has your research told you about how rare, desirable and valuable they are?

Thanks for your answer and info..
According to the seller it hasn't been surviced for at least 8 years.
Also in my country Slovakia it is rare and quit hard to find these. So prices are also higher.
What do you mean by in shape case?
Does the serial number match the year 1985? I am having trouble finding one straight answer.
    Thanks
