For sale is a good looking Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch from the 80s. This piece would be a great addition for someone looking for a birth year or a well priced daily wearer/vintage piece. I love this range of speedies because you get much of the vintage look without the vintage price.

Thanks to our friends at Ilovemyspeedmaster.com - the extract is estimated to be from January 1982 (obviously to confirm you’ll need an extract)
Reference: 145.022 CRS
Movement: Cal. 861
Dial: Long S and R with matching patina on the markers
Crystal: Hesalite with Omega logo
Bracelet: 1171 (matching, but generic end links)
Serial #45****** (blocked out for the privacy of the next owner)

Please refer to the pictures (and ask me for more) to determine the condition. The photos of the watch were taken on an old iPhone and have not been edited. Below is my best attempt to describe the watches condition. Feel free to ask me any questions through messages.

The watch is in working order, the chronograph functions as it should, starting / stopping / resetting to zero. The watch keeps good time and is believed to be in specs, but I don’t have the fancy machine to check. I am unsure of its service history (there are jeweler marks in the caseback) and therefore recommend a service. The case is in good shape, and does not present itself with any gouges, scrapes or distractions. I am not sure if the case has been polished, but if it has been it appears to have retained the correct brush lines. The bezel is far from perfect, with bumps and scrapes throughout, particularly between 70-80 on the tachymetre. The crystal is great without any deep scratches or chips. Pushers and crown appear correct. The hands are correct in style but later service hands. All of these details, and the lack of a box or paperwork, are reflected in my asking price.

I would like $3300 which will cover shipping fees (fedex). I accept wire transfer and paypal F&F or PayPal + the 4% fee.

Trades: Show me what you got. Price a little higher or lower is fine. Interested in Speedmasters maybe a FOIS or Ck2998.

I have sold and purchased several Speedmasters and other watches on the forum and can provide references on request. Like many, I am selling this watch to free up some funds for my next purchase, which will undoubtedly be posted in WRUW thread someday.

I was asked how long the bracelet is - over 7.5”

The hands look correct, but I am not sure if they were replaced during a service

In fact they are correct but later service. If you don’t have a UV light, simply go in a dark room, put the watch under your smartphone pocket light, switch the light off and you will see those hands glowing for another 30 seconds or more while the dial will fade very quickly. Thanks to superluminova on the hands. I believe it’s fair to update your description to avoid a trap to a potential buyer who can’t (yet) distinguish it from the pictures. At the end, it is nothing bad and a lot of people do not care as long as it looks good and the price is okay. 😉

@kov updated - and I knocked off $200 just in case anyone wanted to find some original hands for it.

Happy New Year 😀

Couple of nibbles but no bites. The watch is in the US and I will work with a buyer to ship internationally.

Dropped the price by $100 and will entertain trades! Show me what you got, my collection is random but I like tool watches and vintage.
