Two tone is back (though I never stopped loving it!) and doesn’t get much better than a classic Rolex Datejust in two tone! This one is really clean, and from 1980, which makes it a birth year for me… which makes it VERY hard to part with, but so the story goes... REFERENCE: 16013 SERIAL NUMBER: 6,4XXXXX DIAL: Incredible silver sunburst/pearl dial, all lume plots full. One of the cleanest vintage DJ’s I’ve ever seen! CASE: Crisp and well preserved 36MM case. The solid gold bezel has a great rosy patina to it - could easily be cleaned but I think it adds so much charm! Wear to the back of the case from an old bracelet rubbing along the rear of the lugs, and some minor scratches throughout, but all in all incredible shape for a 42 year old piece (better shape than me…) CRYSTAL: I believe this is the original plexi crystal, light scratches can be seen at certain angles, but in excellent shape, showing off that stunning dial. MOVEMENT: Clean 3035 which brings some modern conveniences, like quick set date and hacking. No service history but running beautifully! Winds, sets, date turns over perfectly, and in my experience keeping time to about 4 seconds a day! STRAP: Put this on a really cool, new Worn and Wound honey brown leather strap (only tried on for pics) Really plays off the gold tones, and adds a subtle modern twist to a TT classic. PRICE: I think there should be more opportunities to get a great classic Rolex Datejust for under 4K, so pricing this at $3950 plus shipping anywhere in the US. International to be discussed.
