In 1980 I bought a new Omega dress watch for 660 UKP. I assume this was the list price as I paid for it over 10 months on interest-free credit. It was the lowest in the range, and it wasn't sweatproof. I think that it had a round face, but other than that I have no memory of it. Based on this scant information, would you be able to give me any idea of what it might have been? My internet research has so far been fruitless.

    Thank you

My guess is quartz and they had at least 50 designs at the time period.

Try googling Omega catalogs around that year and see if anything looks similar.

Thank you. I will have a look....

Looking at this 1981 catalogue, it looks as though I was not as far down the price scale as I thought that I was.

I remember the amount as it was close to what I was paid a month after all deductions. I am still none the wiser by looking at the pictures though. This is going to turn into a fools errand!
