When OMEGA made the OMEGA MARINE CHRONOMETER in 1976 they produced only 7000, I am told that they cost as much as a small car and only the rich could afford to buy one. JacqueCousteau the famous French underses explorer wore one and there is one on display at the British Museum in London. They were used along with a sextant for navigation as they were the only certified chronometer by Bescancon Observatory. If you can give an idea of what they sold for even a ballpark figure I would appreciate it. Thank you, KARNAK.
