Short lived Belgian Ranchero from the mid 70’s.
Now I understand why it was short lived.
Compared to the 1958-59 version

I like the whacky 70’s futuristic “Ranchero” font.

 

I like the case style... hand length is a little odd.

 

The hands look correct to me.

 

It may be... just not extremely harmonious.

 

Wow a Belgian Ranchero...I'd have confined it to the fake bin at first glance. Pure 70's...Would have suited Elvis...

Seven years ago i saw an ad, Omega Ranchero 325$ as I recall there were not much more info. Called immediately and said I wanted to buy it and ask them to remove the ad After work I went to get it and was quite excited

At the seller I was quite surprised to se a 1970's Omega with Ranchero on the dial ! At that time I did not know of the Belgian Ranchero

Disappointed, but it seemed to be in good condition, but could not get it to run, so I made a offer og 245$ and got it

Got home and the reason it did not run was a bit of plastic from a plastic spacer/movement holder and when removed it was running within a second a day

Omega Ranchero ref. 166.0218, cal. 1012 from 1977

 

I love everything about it.

 

OK, I couldn't resist... Don't expect I'll remain the lone bidder, though.
