Movement - Omega automatic calibre 1040 (Lemania base calibre ), with quickset date
Case width - 41.75mm NOT INCLUDING CROWN
Lug width - 22mm
Dial - black
Hands - white with tritium lume
Crown - signed Omega crown
Crystal - mineral crystal
Bracelet - original Omega signed Mexican manufacture bracelet
Features - time, date, chronograph, 24 hour indicator

The 1040 chronograph movement is one of the cleanest, easiest to read chronograph movements made. Once the seconds sweep hand completes 60 seconds on the dial, the minute counter (orange central hand with a jet pointer) moves to indicate elapsed minutes on the main dial. The subdial counter doesn't come into play until you start counting hours. The chronograph in this watch starts, stops and resets cleanly.

The Speedmaster MKIII was made only from 1971-73. This piece dates from 1973 (only 1973 models were designated on the dial as Omega Speedmaster Professional MKIII)

Note: the "0" in 60 at the top of the tachymetric bezel, as well as the "T" in Tachymetre have worn off. There is also a small piece of white paint missing from the seconds chrono hand. This watch is 40 years old so it is not in perfect shape - I can't say how much wear or love it has seen in the 39 years before I owned it

Further to this, this watch does NOT have the original sunburst pattern. This has a custom concentric case finish. My lousy pictures don't do it justice, it looks great! It's not original, but it looks very cool. The case is not in perfect shape, its got some wear here and there, but again, this watch is 40 years old

This is a used watch and is sold as is, I reserve the right to sell to the person of my choosing, lowball offers will be politely declined and trades are not wanted (I need less watches, not more!).

I am looking for USD$1,600 including worldwide shipping and Paypal. Shipping is within reason, if you live somewhere that needs a $120 courier, than that's up to you. I'll adjust my price according to the level of shipping appropriate to your location and preferred method.
