Hi, I have a Geneve Automatic that I'd like some info on if possible. It has a caliber 1020 movement, that looks genuine enough, though I can't find any references to this movement in this particular case or model of watch. Case back markings are 166.1073, 3660832. It's been well worn as the case back has been polished to the point where the Omega logo is barely visible. Also the day/date is a different colour to the dial. I have read that Omega would make watches from "bin" parts, could this be one or is it more like to be cobbled together from other watches. It does keep very good time and the day/date functions as it should. My apologies for the quality of the photos, I'm very new to this. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. 20161206_113921.jpg 20161206_115623.jpg 20161206_115632.jpg 20161206_120433.jpg

I think you can't find it because that case back goes with this watch. Here's a photo of the 366.0832 and 166.0173, both would contain 1012 movement. Frankly, there's quite a bit about this that leaves me scratching my head. Sorry to say but this is a franken, at best.

Thanks for the quick answer. Looking at the photos, the case and the back, therefore, don't match either? Also, the movement is stamped as 23 jewels. the only watch I can find with that movement is 1660120. Is it possible the movement came from that watch and has had new dial, hands and case / back added to it? If all the other parts are genuine / original parts, I might keep the watch, considering what I paid for it.
