·Hi, so I bought a very nice 1972 sea master tuning fork, big dial, looks great, after market strap, wasn’t fussed by that at all, the original would have been a bracket and I prefer the sporty leather stitched look anyway.
Problem being how the strap connects with the watch itself, it sort of tooth’s in and has a very weak, now broken hinge point on the strap. It’s going to happen again, so two questions…one, has anyone come across a 26mm strap for these? And two, has anyone come up with a better way to use a leather strap that doesn’t involve just removing all the leather and folding the top the top over.
Here’s a stock image of the same watch, with original braclet.
If I can’t settle on a strap I like, I’ll go for a braclet and likely move it on… cheers
