I’m offering up for sale a Heuer Autavia “Viceroy” 1163V, serial 272421 (visible in the final photograph), which dates the chronograph to 1972. The watch is all original, was just serviced by my watchmaker, and is keeping excellent time with all functions working correctly.

The watch is being sold head-only, but a nylon NATO strap from Crown & Buckle can be included if necessary to the buyer.

For more detail on the watch’s condition, see below:

Case: 42mm case is extremely sharp, with sunburst polishing still present and sharp chamfers on the edges of the case.

Bezel: Rare minutes/hour bezel more commonly seen on 1163 MH’s, but not out of place given the very early serial of this 1163V. Bezel has an attractive fade to it, and rotates bi-directionally with no issues.

Dial / Hands: Both are in impeccable condition as seen in the pictures. Patina on the hour markers and hands are creamy and even throughout, with zero blemishes. The dial is perfect as well, with no scratches or pitting.

Caseback: Original caseback has surface scratches that can be easily buffed out if necessary.

Movement: Freshly-serviced Heuer caliber 11i automatic chronograph movement with all functions working correctly. While I have not officially timed the watch, it is keeping excellent time.

My price is $3,000 with payment via PayPal (add 3% if using PP) or direct bank wire. US sale preferred, international sales will pay the cost of shipping. Face-to-face in Chicago is also welcome for local buyers. Finally, I have plenty of references available as a buyer and seller that I can provide if necessary.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions, or feel free to PM me on Omega Forums. Thanks for looking!

sorry I was confused by the bezel...my bad. I thought all the 1163V's had a different bezel with out the luminous dot. I didn't realize this bezel fit on the 1163V...I deleted the post and link.

Is 1163V engraved between the lugs?

Quite frankly, I thought I was helping the seller out as the 11630 is worth more and far less common. Id be happy to delete all these comments.
I missed that...it looks like this could be one of the last 1163V's and they used a later style bezel.

CajunTiger, maybe you should not post comments on peoples watches when you don't know what you are talking about.
This is definitely an Autavia 1163v. In fact I find this a rather nice one. I have had around 18 since I am collecting Heuer watches.
Dial is very nice with what seems to me the original lume. Only comment I could have is the case that has been polished. And that job is not the best I have seen to be honest. The edges are not even along the side of the case. About the bezel, Vics are very often seen with a Tachymeter bezel but they were also sold with this MH bezel. An 11630 bezel would not fit on this 1163 watch since the insert is a bit wider. You can find more info on this particular model on my blog: www.vintagecollectorworld.blogspot.be
I have no relation with the seller of this watch.
Just thought your comment was not correct towards this seller.
    Kind regards,
    Bernard De Vos

Btw, Vics came with two types of cases, Schmitz case and Piquerez case.
This watch has the Schmitz case, identified by the cut-outs front and back that house the pushers.

ps: an 11630 has a flat mineral crystal.
    The 1163 a domed plexi.

Yes, 1163V is engraved between the lugs. No offense taken by any of the back/forth on this thread. Thanks for the discussion and interest, gents.

    No problem mate.
Btw, 1163v is worth more than the 11630 Viceroy style.
A Viceroy in good condition is getting very popular.
What's more, the 1163 case is much better looking than the 11630 case in my opinion.
    Kind regards,
    B
