    Hi there everyone,
So lately I've been doing some research on vintage watches, and somehow Omegas always seemed to have that sense of class that I like, and so, being a terrible newbie to all this, I'm actually on the verge of spending some money on a 1970s ( as advertised on Chrono24 ) Omega Geneve watch. I live in Malaysia and this watch is from a dealer in the US, so yeah, this being my first watch, yeah I am somewhat a little apprehensive about this piece and I was wondering if I could get an opinion from the more experienced minds here. Its going for USD1299. The dealer did provide some clear photos, but not a pic of the crown or the mechanism inside. I have emailed him back for it. Also, the face... Did they make Geneves with this colour back then? And the font and Omega emblem, seems a little "cotemporary" rather than period-correct.
Ive placed the link below. Plexiglass ? Omega had plexiglass on their watches back then? Sorry for these very amateur questions but yeah I might as well ask them here then elsewhere. Cheers.

This is the same seller as "vividlily" on eBay. Here's a random example:

The watches are often re-dialed, over-polished, and the movements are NOT serviced. Very shiny, but you can get much more honest examples for much less money---on eBay, the sales forum here, watchrecon.com, etc.

Really appreciate the prompt replies here! And thanks very much for the pointers about this piece... Im also deciding on this piece, it looks like it's been done up but the dial color is really pleasing. Always liked dark dials although the occasional (silver or lighter). Its an automatic 34 mm
Rolex ( I have smal wrists, not sure about my size, should get it checked). Perhaps I should post this in the Rolex section? Don't wanna ruffle feathers guys. Cheers...

that rolex is (visually) stunning... but i am always a bit alarmed when the outside is so much nicer than the movement pic...
