Hi all.....new member here. I'll get straight to it, I'm looking for a 1970's de ville chronograph. Ideally with a white or grey dial. Any ideas on cost and availability? I appreciate these don't come onto the market often. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Hello, and welcome to the forum! Your best bet is to set up searches on eBay and other auction sites. You can also use a tool such as WatchRecon that searches the various sales forums on the interwebs. Try placing a "Want to buy" ad on these forums. Good luck with your search! A picture of your target is shown here, from a 1969 Omega catalog:
Hi! Different ones available: 145.017 with 860 movement (two registers) 145.018 with 861 movement and three registers (see above) These reference numbers can also help you finding one Case materials ss and gold As far as I know there a silver dials, blue and black ones and special editions As you already assumed, you will need some patience finding a good one. If you do an internet search for "omegaforums" and the reference numbers you will find a lot of helpful input Good luck! EDIT: Later ones have a 930 movement, for example reference number 146.017...
Caught this one owner privately last year for £2.5k, no idea if it was too dear or not but rarely seen for sale.Sorry for poor snapshot, can look a lot more interesting than this. 1969 cal 861 ref 145.018 NAAFI supplied with Extract
Should those lume dots be at 3-6-9 originally there? According to Omega Seamaster book there should be none.
Well not seen the book but a quick web search Shows majority with lume dots. I go with the majority, I think the one illustrated above has the earlier 321 movement?
Nice examples but these look earlier 321 movements perhaps? Lume appears on De Villes but not on the 321 earlier non De Ville examples ? Does the book differentiate ?
Number four is a -67, but you’re correct. Mine are all 321s. Sorry. Should have paid more attention to the thread’s question.
