·The clear-out continues!
I talked a bit about this on this week's podcast, for those who don't listen, I am thinning out what I have.
There are a few reasons for this:
1 - I have (had) a lot of watches, and have not been wearing all of them, this one of those.
2 - I am now self employed, after several month out of work, and having cash in the bank to pay the mortgage is more useful that a safe full of watches.
3 - I have an incoming Speedy Tuesday, that I would like to be able to pay for.
So today, this rather lovely C-Cased Constellation is up for grabs (which Instagram shows me I have worn 3 times since it was serviced).
This is a stunning watch, in fabulous condition, I love looking at it, but as I dress like a California Tech Bro, I have no real need for something this beautiful.
It's a 1970 watch, with a 29million serial numbered calibre 751 movement (day/date/chronometer).
Case
Steel cased with a white gold fluted bezel - the case is original and has not been refinished, there are some signs of wear around the lugs, but overall the case is very, very crisp.
Dial
The dial is one of the less common variety, in a grey, metallic sunburst with large applied steel markers and onyx inserts - the original tritium lume plots are still present at some but not all of the markers.
Hands
The hands are steel with onyx and tritium inserts, the lume matches the dial, and I believe the hands to be original.
Bracelet
It is wearing a modern Omega 3011 service bracelet and end links, I bought 4 additional links from STS (£120) to return this to its full size, so it will fit up to an approximately 8 inch wrist.
Service/Warranty
It was serviced in April 2017 by Omega Approved Service Centre, Swiss Time Services, comes with a service invoice for £550 (including £120 of links) and carries the balance of their 2 year warranty up until 19/04/2019.
It will be supplied with a red leatherette Omega service case.
Shipping
Fully insured, tracked, next day delivery in the UK is included in the selling price. International shipping will be at cost, minus £10.
