I need to go from about 33 pieces in the remaining collection to more or less 16, so some pieces I truly love will have to go. The overlap with my pré-moon 69er is too big. I spent over 2 years looking for a truly unspoiled MKII, as most have refinished cases and the like. This one is completely original, and with a razor sharp case. So, very nice unpolished, 'thick' case with sharp facets on the side. The sunburst is nicely visible. Light, and somewhat heavier scratching on the case. Glass is the original 'narrow C' one, with some scratching. The dial is perfect, with nicely aged tritium (UV verified) - matching to the hands. The hands show some ageing. The caseback is really good with no to very little fading. The bracelet is very good, very little stretch, very solid, and at full length. Crown and pushers are original. Service-history is unknown, but amplitude was very good at the last check (1.5 years ago approx) and everything works as it should. Serial of the 861 dates correctly to 1969. Specs •Condition: beautiful vintage condition, see description above; •Movement: 861 chrono manual caliber; •Case: stainless steel; •Dimensions: 41,5mm crown excluded, 20mm lugs; •Bracelet: Omega 1162/172; •Service: history unknown but runs fine. Price is 1950 euro insured shipping excluded. I always ship bomb-proof. The watch is located in Belgium. I have a lot of references worldwide (glad to provide them) and also an instagram page with +1000 followers (username a_pylyser).
To the top with this unspoiled beauty - for people that would want a perfect glass, they are still available at the 80/90 euro pricemark. Open to reasonable offers!
I recently sold a rather shabby mkii for not that much less than this. With no bracelet even. Looks like a good value to me. Glws
