Hey all I have decided to sell my Late Fathers 1969 Pre Moon Speedmaster. This has been in our family since 1969 and only have had one owner its whole life. I just had it serviced and cleaned to the price of $495.00 I would like to sell but I am not sure of the correct price for this Watch since I have seen them go from 2500 to 6000. I could not locate original box. I will attach pictures.
    Thanks

Are you sure you want to sell it? Its a great family heirloom to keep around for special occasions and such.

If intent on selling, search the sales postings here for a general guide, remember that the condition is the MAIN factor in value.

Also, I hope the photo of the movement is from before servicing, those pusher tubes need some TLC.

Hi, for a quick price determination you can check the pricechart at www.speedmaster101.com . Read the description at the bottom refering to the different conditions. I personaly would not sell this piece as it is a family heirloom and keep it to pass it down to the next generation maybe. But this is your choice to make.

Yes these pictures are before servicing the watch. All is good now and it runs great and everything works. Thanks for the price guide that helped a lot. I am planning on selling it

Where are you located? Should probably post pics after the service. Who did service for you?

I think given you have no background here you may try and do a face to face deal with a member in your geographic area.

Ebay is the best place for you, with a 0.99 start, no reserve auction.

There are plenty of people looking for these, so it will reach its fair value.

I have to ask, but were any parts replaced during service, either on the outside or inside of the watch. This will affect value.

Yea, great watch. I would be interested in seeing an "after" service pics, since we see the before.

Why would you want to sell your late father's watch? It is a very personal item he wore daily, just be sure as I hope you do not regret it.

My opinion as well. Keep the watch. Can pass it down within your family. Very nice piece.

I know you would agree then. Wish my dad had a speedy to pass me down. He didnt have one to pass down. But i wont make that mistake. Have my speedy to pass down to my kid.
