For sale today is an Omega Constellation from 1969, with details as follows:
- Brand: Omega, Model: Constellation, Reference No.: 168.005, Serial No.: 28'915'xxx
Condition of the watch:
- Dial: Original pie pan dial in good condition, with later version black painted top hour markers.
- Case: Sharp case, likely unpolished (or very close to), with hairline scratches and small dirty/rusted areas that could benefit from an ultrasonic clean during future servicing.
- Movement: Omega chronometer cal. 564 serial number dates the watch to approximately 1969, which matches the black painted markers on the dial. The watch is running smoothly, winding well, and the quick-set date function is working. Service history is unknown.
- Crown: I'm not an expert on crowns, but it is Omega-signed. However, I believe this is an aftermarket crown or at best a replacement crown.
- Plexi: Signed but likely replacement/aftermarket.
- Aftermarket straps
- Original Omega MG buckle.
