Via http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-031419a-apollo-11-press-kits-website.html and https://www.apollopresskits.com here is an Omega Press Information document regarding the Speedmaster. https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/413105/Apollo Press Kits/Omega Watches.pdf

Lots of other fun promotional material from the commercial side of the space race featured as well.

Made available by David Meerman Scott, co-author with Richard Jurek of "Marketing the Moon: The Selling of the Apollo Lunar Program". Recommended book for any fellow space junkies.

Amazing indeed ! Interesting and unexpected to see the SM referred to as a "4 dial watch" ;-)

That new 18k edition is, hum...tempting ! Must be sold out already...

    Thanks @Texas Toast
Marked for reading later in the week.

I became aware of these press kits through checking completed eBay listings; a frustrating habit I'm trying to break as it is upsetting seeing some of the items that slip through the Buy It Now process quick as a flash. :(

I was hoping to be able to get hold of one before sharing news of their existence to the broader Omega community. I'm guessing lots of the the regular Space collectors will have already been on the case though.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the "Astronaut's Watch" press kits with the mission also printed on the front; Apollo 10 and Apollo 11 from memory.

Right now this is the photo I can find (see now you already have the full document scanned . Sorry I'm obviously not operating on this planet right now. ::screwloose::)

    Bottom right

If You're really looking for some in depth books on the Apollo missions, try to get the NASA SP-series on Apollo ( SP = Special Publication ).
There're great pre-mission SP books but there's also a Preliminary Science Report for each lunar landing. Picture = NASA SP-214 for Apollo 11
    The other numbers are:
SP-201 = Analysis Apollo 8 Photography and Visual Observations
SP-232 = Apollo 10 Photography and Visual Observations
    SP-235 = Apollo 12 Preliminary Science Report
    SP-272 = Apollo 14 Preliminary Science Report
    SP-289 = Apollo 15 Preliminary Science Report
    SP-315 = Apollo 16 Preliminary Science Report
    SP-330 = Apollo 17 Preliminary Science Report
    ...

For those Navy buffs interested in the 1969 Apollo 11 mission...
Here's the official Navy publication ( a special USS Hornet cruise book ) splash-down & recovery of the Apollo 11 crew capsule " Columbia " together with a newer book on the subject and some items we have on display at our local astronomy center:
