I can only imagine how long the vacheron Constantin 57260 with 2800 pièces and 57 complications will take.

If nothing else, this video might give pause to some who seem to think pursuing an ever decreasing cost of watch maintenance and repair is an entirely noble endeavour.

Are there people who charge top dollar for less than exemplary service - sure.

However the skill and knowledge both in learning the skills required and applying them to produce satisfactory results plus the capital cost of purchasing proper equipment should be properly rewarded to ensure that these increasingly rare resources continue to be available to the watch collecting community.

If you don't want to pay these people a decent remuneration, then don't be surprised when sometime in the future you are faced with the choice of sending your prized watch to an unproven hack or the OEM.
