Looking for information from real Omega collectors about my 145.022 68-st. I know a decent amount but please chime in with anything you see or know about my piece. Good or bad, anything would be helpful! Thanks all! 2,7xx,xxx serial - 861 movement Main questions? - What is the dial made of and as it ages while I wear it will it turn blacker or browner? - When did Omega start etching the logo onto the acrylic? - Mine has it... - Which is the appropriate bracelet and end links for this piece? - 10 being the highest, what would you rate the condition? - What would you value this watch at? Thanks everyone!
Price chart here: http://speedmaster101.com/price-chart-2/ Bracelet chart here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-speedmaster-bracelet-chart.29051/ There seems to be some lume loss from the dial, which will hurt the value.
Probably ... I wouldn't re-lume it, personally. It's just a condition issue that affects value. Nice watch.
Yeah the 1171/633s are mostly correct for the later st-7x’s. Just buy another speedy head. FIFY. The transitionals do look sweet when you put the 516s on though.
Dial lume loss seems to be quite common on transitional speedies, doesn’t it ? I have the same issue...
I’d put it 7,500-8000. Lume damage hurts it. Can’t judge the case from the pictures... maybe a bit more 8,750 if I could see the case better. That being said it’s a great piece that presents well.
No 861’s are known to go go brown... that being said the transitionals share a lot with 145.012’s which do go brown and you would assume the dials are very similar.
Yes and no. Visually yes they are the same. But dial feet differ from 321 and 861 movements. So they are not the same batch.
Regarding values, this 145.022-68 sold for $7300 yesterday on an eBay auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-19...83.l10137.c10&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Is it just me or are values for these dropping? There have been a few very nice ones on here lately that have sold for less than expected.
are you taking pictures of your Speedy through a set of sun glasses again? that's a lovely Speedy you got there!
I was a bit surprised that one went as high as it did, the case looks to have a horrific polishing job from the pictures
