Hi. I've recently purchased a '66 Seamaster Deville and it unfortunately has a cracked bezel (or is it called a reflector ring?). Does anybody have any suggestions for where to find a replacement bezel/reflector ring?

Picture so we can tell which of a 100 models it is preferable with a shot of the inner caseback which has the model number.

The inner refector ring on most generic crystals has a slot. You call it a crack. I just checked a representative selection my Omegas, and the reflectors don’t have slots. My suspicion is that the crystal in your Omega is not a genuine Omega crystal. Presence or absence of a slot is not the only difference between the generic and genuine crystals. The Omega reflector has a machined recess on the underside which the generic one won’t have. If that is the situation with your Omega, the movement is likely sitting too high in the case. This can be a problem with an automatic wind model as there is a good chance that the rotor is dragging inside the case back. You can solve your problem of locating and installing a replacement crystal by taking your watch to the right repair shop. Insist on a genuine Omega crystal.

They could be two different parts and could be the same. Since you don't know what it's called, best to have some pictures showing what the problem is and on which watch model.

That is a cracked bezel. Definitely a bigger problem than an incorrect crystal. Anyone with a solution for a problem like that, short of replacing the case?

New bezel replacement may still be available directly from Omega and you'd either have to have your watch repaired by Omega or an Omega certified watchmaker who can order parts directly from them.

Getting a used one is possible if you're lucky. You'd still have to know the exact reference of your watch, but it's likely ref 166.020.

If that's the case number, then yes it's still available...

Great, but how do I go about ordering it? Who do I order it from? Do you have a link?

You take your watch to a watchmaker who has an Omega parts account, and they can order it for you and perform the required repairs. This is not something you can buy directly.
